The place has the label " oenology ": The owner, a qualified wine taster (Maison des Vins d'Alsace), can offer you to taste wines on-the-spot or outside, in a cellar (in a cellar in Ammerschwihr, well-known for its Grand Cru Kaefferkopf).

You will live a few days in the atmosphere of a cooper's workshop surrounded by an old tool collection (planes, hooks, barrel bolts and cooperage's utensils: barrels, kegs, cuveau for grape harvest, funnel...

You will appreciate to taste a selection of wines in such an original place, where the spirit of the wine prevails.

What's up in Kaysersberg and neighborhood ?

In Kaysersberg, at entrance Weiss Valley, in the Alsatian Plain (to the entrance of the valleys of Lapoutroie and Orbey) you will discover the charm of a medieval town of the XV and XVI th centuries, its famous Castle, its Vineyards: Schlosberg and the other closest Grand Crus: Fursterturm, Mammbourg, Kaefferkopf, Vineck-Schlosssberg).
You can also visit Albert Schweitzer's native house (Museum), the Museum of the Alsatian Wine in the Castle of the Confrérie St Etienne (in Kientzheim).
On foot, you will be able to go to the Clearing of St Alexis (an inn in the mountain), to the castle ruins, to the health resort of Trois Épis, via the « Chapelle de la Flieh ».
The public golf of Ammerschwihr is 3 kms away.
You can also reach Lac Blanc and Lac Noir easily as well as the summit of the Vosges, where it's possible to go skiing in Winter and hiking the whole year.
